Adam DiTroia is an award winning composer and sound designer for games, television, film, animation, and the web. He grew up in a very musical family. His father, Sal DiTroia played session guitar with such artists as Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, The Monkees, and many others. Adam began showing interest in music at a very early age. He briefly studied piano as a child. Adam also studied arranging, orchestration, and theory with his grandfather. This helped prepare him for working with orchestras and other live players. Adam likes to describe his musical knowledge as "knowing just enough of the rules to break them".
Adam began his professional career creating music for several local television commercials and small online projects. After creating the music and sound effects for several video game "mods", he landed his first commercial game gig, Taxi 3: eXtreme Rush (Team 6 games). This lead to several other game projects for the PC, Nintendo DS, and Gameboy Advanced. Some notable titles include:
-Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck (Warner bros. Interactive and Wayforward Technologies)
-Space Chimps: Brash Entertainment and Wayforward Technologies)
-March of the Penquins: Skyworks Technologies
-Kuma War 2 (Kuma Reality Games)
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle for the city (Wayforward Technologies)
And many others. Adam also began creating custom music and sound effects for several animated projects including many for Two Animators (www.twoanimators.com), Dreamlight Interactive (www.dreamlightinteractive.com), MiloWerks animation (www.milowerx.com) and more. He also created the original score for the short film "The Wraith: Eyes of Judgement". It debuted on the big screen in limited release.
